Research:
The ATE sponsors ongoing faculty development through quantitative and qualitative research activities in the field of education. Although this is one of the more obscure of the member benefits, this component yields the most enduring effects upon education. The TALC program makes important contributions to the ongoing research being conducted. Members are occasionally asked to participate in research by attending certain events, completing online surveys, and participating in focus groups. As a result, TALC members are asked to have a Consent to Participate in Research as a Human Subject form in their file. |
Institutional and Faculty Development :
The ATE faculty development component offers opportunities for development to our own UTSA Faculty. ATE seeks to influence and thus increase the cultural and linguistic diversity sensitivity of the faculty instructing our TALC students. Faculty development is not mandated therefore TALC recognizes our ATE Faculty for taking the time out of their busy schedules to complete additional professional learning sessions. TALC highly encourages our TALC membership to seek out the listed faculty when registering for coursework. |
